SR 2153 Vine St. Expy.

SJH was responsible for the rehabilitation of the bridge carrying 18th Street (SR-2153) over Vine Street Expressway (SR-0676), a single-span steel welded plate girder bridge. This rehabilitation was part of a larger four-year, federally-funded $64.8M project which began in April 2015 to replace seven structurally deficient bridges over I-676 in Philadelphia. Construction on 18th Street was estimated to last from July 2017 until November 2019. As a subconsultant, SJH developed girder erection plans for this structure and completed the following tasks:

Task 1 – Prepared calculations for section properties, beam CG, and pick weight for all girders in Spans 1 & 2
Task 2 – Developed calculations for stress analysis of girders during picks and in-place
Task 3 – Developed calculations for the selection of all rigging components and wind restraints
