is a multitalented engineer, responsible for leading SJH’s involvement in design and inspection projects with construction costs up to $1.8 billion. Throughout his engineering career, Dr. Jayakumaran has served as a project manager, quality control engineer, project engineer, and senior analyst. His hands-on leadership in SJH’s projects has contributed to the successful design, supervision, and management of award-winning work. His expertise spans building rehabilitation, structural, civil, bridge, railroad, tunnels, and transportation engineering projects across the East Coast. He is extensively familiar with local, state, and federal regulations. With a PhD in Civil / Structural Engineering, Dr. Jayakumaran is an active member of various engineering organizations and a published author.

Jing Kang, PE, DBIA

SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT | Director of Engineering

is a senior leader and key decision-maker, responsible for managing daily operations and providing QA/QC for our robust bridge design group. With three decades of industry experience, Mr. Kang’s background includes inspection, analysis, design, preparation of contract documents, construction support, management, value engineering, and the supervision of complex highway structures. He has extensive experience coordinating with public agencies and private utilities. He has led numerous projects for the NJTA, NJDOT, NJ Transit, PANYNJ, NYCDOT, and NYSDOT, including the design of the first cable-stayed bridge over navigable water in NY State. He holds an MS degree in Structural Engineering and a BS in Civil Engineering and is a registered Professional Engineer in NJ, NY, and PA. Mr. Kang is a member of MENY, ACEC, and the DBIA.

Bhadresh Patel, PE

Vice President | Engineering Technical Lead – Structures

contributes to SJH’s success as Engineering Technical Lead with his efficient and informed professional skill set that benefits our technical staff and engineering teams. Mr. Patel earned a BS degree in civil engineering from Sardar Vallabhbhai Vidyapeeth in India and a Post Graduate Diploma, specialized in-plant training, design, and construction of structures and foundations for the iron and steel industry. He is a published author and a Professional Engineer in NJ, NY, and FL.

Richard Falletta, PE

Vice President | Director of Construction Services

is Director of Construction Services, overseeing business development efforts for transportation construction management and construction inspection activities in NY and NJ. Mr. Falletta has experience in construction services and business development. He earned a BS in Civil Engineering from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He holds professional engineering licenses in NY, PA, and CT. He is a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers, and the American Society of Civil Engineers.

Amanda Sebesta

Senior Associate | Director of Marketing

is the Director of Marketing and oversees the firm’s marketing efforts. She is a communication professional with over twenty years of experience in marketing, branding, and financial analysis across various sectors. She graduated with an MA in Corporate and Public Communication from Monmouth University and a BA in Communication from the University of Arizona. She is a member of the Society for Marketing Professional Services and Women’s Transportation Seminar industry groups.

As a growing firm, SJH currently employs over eighty full-time employees, many of whom are registered professionals in their respective disciplines. Our team consists of structural, highway, transportation, and MEP engineers, as well as architectural, and construction inspectors, resident engineers, CADD specialists, and support personnel.
