Schedulers for IDIQ Staffing

Under this four-year term agreement with an option to extend for another year, MTA New York City Transit (NYCT) retained SJH to provide schedulers for placement at NYCT offices to support the Authority’s scheduling efforts on various ongoing projects in the capital program. These services were integral to the efficient control and monitoring of ongoing capital improvement projects at MTA. NYCT requested temporary project schedulers on short notice to augment in-house staff or to fill vacancies on an as-needed basis. SJH placed six schedulers under this contract. The team submitted over thirty candidates to the Authority for consideration and selection. During this assignment, our in-house schedulers trained new schedulers for placement at NYCT. SJH conducted training sessions for schedulers from both within and from outside our organization to use scheduling software, such as Primavera P6. We also trained schedulers in MTA’s requirements regarding working at railroad agencies. Schedulers were provided information about restrictions on working around active railroads, bus operations and other capital construction. In addition, whenever recruits were found from outside of our organization, they were trained in MTA operations and needs prior to being sent on an interview with MTA.
