New York City’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) rolled out OMNY, a new contactless payment platform that allowed bus and subway riders to pay for transit with the tap of a credit card, debit card, or smartphone, replacing the magnetic stripe MetroCard system. The entire project cost approximately $618M, including updates to turnstiles and payment systems. SJH provided a Construction Manager to support the project by performing the following tasks:

Worked with the senior management team to coordinate all aspects of project management.

Oversaw procedures to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.

Performed visual field inspections and documented installation for compliance with contract documents.

Organized, planned, and recorded minutes for bi-weekly project progress meetings.

Prepared daily reports and provided updates to other managers regarding any field issues.
