Mahwah Train Station

As a subconsultant to Hill International, Inc., SJH provided project management services for the critical repairs at the Mahwah Train Station. NJ Transit focused their efforts on rejuvenating the station as part of its commitment to maintaining and enhancing essential transportation infrastructure. Phase I of these initiatives focused on critical state of good repair work to ensure the station remains a safe gateway to Mahwah Township’s downtown while preserving its historic character. SJH’s staff oversaw critical repairs included in Phase I of the Mahwah Train Station project. The project involved roof repairs, installing new framing, replacing gutters, downspouts, roof sheathing, along with rafter repair and replacement. Additionally, SJH supervised the retaining wall and site work, including the north stairs, concrete work and associated landscaping enhancements. The project also involved electrical upgrades, including the relocation of the Ticket Vending Machine, improvements to electrical equipment and lighting beneath the roof ceiling over the arcade columns.
