SERVICES PROVIDED
The work performed under this contract consists of the construction of High Friction Surface Course and all other work incidental to and including milling, paving, striping, rumble strips and raised pavement markers on eleven (11) curves located throughout Jackson, Lacey, Manchester, Plumsted, and Toms River Townships, and Point Pleasant Borough.
Extensive traffic control was required to maintain traffic at all times during construction. Documents for the lane closures and openings complied with the Traffic Control stipulations.
In addition, our inspector also inspected the roadway milling and paving, along with other safety improvements, such as guiderail and drainage installations. The High Friction overlay has specific constraints under which it is installed, such as an optimum temperature, and our inspector verifies that the specific environmental conditions are adhered to during the placement of the overlay. The installation procedures had to be followed strictly to ensure proper placement of the overlay. Due to the various site locations, the inspector had to plan accordingly during inspections.
