Since 2012, SJH has provided structural and civil design services that follow 2009 IBC, NJ Edition, ASCE 7, and ASCE 113 - Substation Structure Design Guidelines as a subconsultant to Gannett Fleming under this three year indefinite delivery contract, valued at $500,000. Pepco Holdings, Inc. is one of the largest energy delivery companies in the Mid-Atlantic region, serving about two million customers in Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland and New Jersey. We have completed seven tasks to date for PSE&G and Delmarva Power & Light, including:
Emergency Repairs to Switching Station, East Rutherford, NJ
SJH prepared structural design calculations, sketches and structural notes for the installation of the new switchgear building onto a new foundation slab located at the station for PSE&G.
Fair Lawn Switching Station, Fair Lawn, NJ
SJH provided structural design services for a new High Voltage Capacitor Switch onto existing steel cap switcher support structure for PSE&G. Reviewed/developed design criteria, structural load calculations, and structural drawings.
Moss Mill Electrical Substation, Port Republic, NJ
This project involved the structural design of steel and reinforced concrete electrical substation components including transmission take-off structures, switch stands, bus supports, CVT support structures and foundations, breaker stands and foundations, circuit breaker foundations, transformer foundations and oil containment structures, and feeder riser structures and foundations. Reviewed/developed design criteria, structural load calculations, and structural drawings.
Huron Electrical Substation, Atlantic City, NJ
SJH provided structural design of steel and reinforced concrete electrical substation components including reactor stands, bus support stands and foundations, riser stands and foundations, switch stands and foundations, circuit switcher foundations, and capacitor bank foundations. Determined design criteria, prepared structural design calculations, checked and reviewed structural designs and drawings.
