SJH Engineering, P.C. (SJH) is a full-service consulting engineering firm with offices in New York, NY, Princeton, NJ, and Alpharetta, GA. We recently expanded into the Georgia market and are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager / Office Assistant to support our growing team in Alpharetta, GA. This role will provide administrative support to our office while assisting Project Managers in tracking and managing project budgets, ensuring financial accuracy, and maintaining project schedules. Project Support: • Assist Project Managers in tracking project costs, budgets, and schedules. • Monitor project expenses to ensure compliance with financial guidelines. • Prepare financial reports and project status updates for internal review. • Work with cross-functional teams to optimize project financial performance. • Maintain accurate financial records and assist with forecasting and cost-control measures. • Support project invoicing, contract management, and financial reconciliation processes. • Utilize financial tracking tools and software to enhance reporting accuracy. Office Administration: • Answer phones, manage office correspondence, and greet visitors. • Order and maintain office supplies. • Assist with scheduling meetings and coordinating office functions. • Provide general administrative support to the team as needed. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, or a related field. • 0–3 years of experience in project controls, financial analysis, or related roles. • Strong analytical and financial management skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Strong communication and teamwork abilities. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications • Experience in the engineering, construction, or consulting industries. • Knowledge of dealing with government contracts with Overhead calculations, cost control principles and financial forecasting.
