The American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of New York has awarded SJH with a 2023 Gold ACEC New York Engineering Excellence for the MTA LIRR Huntington Station East Overpass. The SJH team provided professional engineering services for conceptual design, final design and construction phase services at Huntington Station on Port Jefferson Branch rail line in New York. As one of three overpasses within the station, this $3.7M new overpass features a newly enclosed structure with sustainable design, Accelerated Bridge Construction (ABC) techniques, and improved public safety. Despite the pandemic, the project was completed on time and within budget. Our work is being recognized at the 56th Engineering Excellence Gala on March 24, 2023.
