Traffic control in the work zone is of paramount importance to the success of any highway construction project. Good traffic control reduces the risk of accidents, limits inconvenience and provides a high level of safety to both the motoring public and construction workers at the work site.
SJH’s portfolio is filled with designs for two-lane arterials, realignments, bridge approaches, service and access roads, and bicycle paths. Our extensive and continuous work throughout NJ, NY, and GA has contributed to the development of experienced transportation design personnel who are fully familiar with the requirements of all agencies. SJH provides MPT and Staging drawings for the construction of structures at various stages of completion.

Managing traffic in case of accidents and other emergencies is a vital part of any construction project. Our inspection
team has a Corrective Action Plan that can be implemented in emergencies. The plan may include opening up the closed lanes to traffic to ease congestion, a more involved coordinated action plan of installing additional VMSs’ and the introduction of radio broadcasts to relieve congestion.
