Staff Augmentation

There are multiple ongoing projects for which CPD’s Design Department required additional staffing to prepare Design/Contract Documents (Drawings, Specifications, and Cost Estimates) in an expedited manner to meet funding and schedule deadlines. As a subconsultant to Superstructures, Inc., SJH provided a Structural Engineer to augment and support the staff at NYCHA. Our Engineer worked at the NYCHA offices, reviewing designs performed by other NYCHA consultants and participating in in-house designs. Due to our performance, this staff augmentation assignment was extended by NYCHA several times over the past several years. Through this experience, our staff became very familiar with NYCHA guidelines and requirements. In addition, SJH also became familiar with NYCHA’s staffing requirements and was in a good position to support NYCHA’s staffing needs.
